ABOUT

Carmen graduated with a BA in Film from Roehampton University in London and developed her interest in social cinema, directing documentaries of social impact. After completing her degree in Film, she worked as an intern in the production company Black Box Multimedia, where she collaborated with the screenwriters in the pre-production of their four-episode TV series, "The Serial Killer's Wife," and learned from the acclaimed award-winner editor and director Nick Moore. This working experience and her passion for bringing up stories about social issues led her to direct a promo video to help a charity, "Cure DHDDS," raise funds to investigate a rare disease that affects children worldwide.

Carmen recently did a Directing certificate at the NYFA in NYC and works as an assistant director in short films, commercials, and music videos in Toronto. At the same time, she develops her own stories, focusing on giving voice to those affected by the self-interest decisions of others.
